Kuldeep Tiwari has recently joined as the Assistant Editor with Ahmedabad Mirror, Times of India Group. He was previously working as the Editorial Director (English) at MeraNews, an online news portal. Kuldeep has over 12 years of experience in print and online media. He has previously worked with Ahmedabad Mirror and DNA newspaper too.
BBC World Service is an international multimedia broadcaster, part of BBC News, delivering a wide range of language and regional services and working increasingly with other parts of BBC News to serve global audiences. It uses multiple platforms to reach its weekly audience of 320 million globally, including TV, digital platforms including social media, AM, FM, shortwave, digital satellite and cable channels. As part of an historic and exciting expansion, the BBC World Service has launched four new language services serving audiences in India – Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi and Telugu – to work alongside two existing services, BBC Hindi and BBC Tamil.
All six Indian language services are based predominantly in the BBC’s Delhi bureau, working closely and collaboratively with all teams in that office and with teams in the BBC’s headquarters in London to deliver the best service for BBC audiences.

Harit Mehta, Deputy Resident Editor, TOI Gujarat has formally been appointed as the Resident Editor of the edition. He will take over from the longest serving RE Bharatbhai Desai from May 15 when Harit takes charge. Mr.Desai annouced his retirement in March
DPI is accepting applications for the 2018 Reham Al-Farra (RAF) Memorial Journalism Fellowship, which will be held at UN Headquarters in New York from 16 September to 6 October 2018.
DPI is accepting applications for the2018 Reham Al-Farra (RAF) Memorial Journalism Fellowship, which will be held at UN Headquarters in New York from 16 September to 6 October 2018.
The Fellowship will bring a select group of young journalists from around the world to United Nations Headquarters to cover the General Assembly, interview senior officials, and attend special briefings and workshops.
The Fellowship is open to full-time journalists between the ages of 22 and 35 from countries with developing and transitioning economies.

The Fellowship covers the cost of roundtrip air travel to New York and provides a daily subsistence allowance.
